India - Myanmar bilateral trade

YANGON, Myanmar - Cargo vessel from Indian express company GATI loaded with containers leaving Yangon port on Aug. 24, 2005. Bilateral trade volume between Myanmar and India has grown 13 percent in 2004 compare to 2003, according to latest available figures from Myanmar's Central Statistical Organization.

Thai Foreign Minister meets Sr. General

YANGON, Myanmar - Thai Foreign Minister Kantathi Suphamongkhon speaking to reporters at his hotel after meeting Myanmar junta leader Senior General Than Shwe Thursday morning, September 1, in Yangon. Kantathi said the 73-year-old Myanmar leader is in "good health" despite rumors last week that he had been flown to Singapore for treatment of an unspecified illness.
